The primary goal of this course is to provide participants with the necessary skills and knowledge to safely lift and sling components and equipment. The course aims to enhance participants’ skills, enabling them to perform lifting and slinging tasks correctly and safely.
Course Objectives:
By the end of this course, participants will be able to:
- Recognize safe working loads and understand lifting capabilities and limitations.
- Follow safe working procedures for lifting and slinging tasks.
- Understand and use recommended crane signals.
- Select and use chains and chain slings appropriately.
- Utilize ‘Safe Working Load’ Charts effectively.
- Safely sling and move loads.
- Calculate the weights and centers of gravity of loads and consider these factors when slinging and moving loads.
